Sounds of the Western Reserve Historical Society

 
Jeff Moyer in partnership with The Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS), are proud to announce the release of Sounds of the Western Reserve Historical Society. This CD presents a wide range of historic sounds in creative and innovative interpretive audio segments and stories. Many of the historic sounds were recorded at Hale Farm and Village, The Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum and The History Museum, all WRHS properties. Nineteenth and 20th century history has never been presented in such an imaginative and accessible way before. Recorded sounds include: 19th century bells, a stationary steam engine-driven saw mill, antique automobiles, segments from The Cleveland National Air Show, early 20th century vaudeville sound effect instruments and many others. The CD celebrates our collective past while educating and entertaining through stories, creative soundscapes and historical vignettes, as produced and told by Jeff Moyer in his gentle and informative style.

Lest We Forget
Music From The Heart and Partners For Community Living are proud to announce the release of Lest We Forget, an audio documentary on state institutions, segregation and the continuing movement toward community integration of people with cognitive disabilities. Lest We Forget, produced by Jeff Moyer, (Judy Leasure, Executive Producer), is a two-CD set drawn from 35 hours of oral histories with individuals who had lived within Ohio's state institutions, their families, staff who worked and still work within their walls and the advocates and program pioneers who have established community-based services for individuals with cognitive disabilities.

Maxwell The Dancing Dog
 
 
Maxwell The Dancing Dog is a wonderful new collection of songs for young children and families that represents 25 years of song writing by Jeff Moyer that has delighted, entertained and engaged children and audiences of all ages. Maxwell contains sixteen songs that dance along the musical spectrum and four that are sung with an inclusive class of kindergarten and preschool age children. The collection is a compilation of Moyer's songs for children that celebrate such favorite themes as clowns, the merry-go-round, dancing, (of course Maxwell, The Dancing Dog) a world that regards difference of all kinds as normal and a healthy part of community.

See How Far We've Come

TASH, an international disability rights and advocacy organization collaborated with Jeff Moyer on this important retrospective on the last quarter century of the U.S. disability rights movement. This important collection of spoken word and music selections incorporates the stirring and memorable oratory of the late Justin Dart, an internationally prominent leader within the disability rights movement, with the songs and poetry of Jeff Moyer, a leading songwriter, musician, and disability rights activist.

 

 

We’re People First - AAC Edition
 
We’re People First - AAC Edition is a computer disk containing text files which can be sung by augmentative communication systems which use synthesizers in the DEC Talk series. Users may load files which will sing in either a child/female or male voice. Disk contains all songs from We’re People First plus "My Voice Has Wings," from "Do You See Me As An Equal?" Disk also contains instructions for loading files and singing songs using various manufacturers AAC devices.

Assistive Technology Boogie
This is a multi-media product that celebrates assistive technology through music and animation with open captioning and audio description. Assistive technology includes the wide array of devices and systems that help people with disabilities accomplish functional tasks including mobility, communication, access to information and activities of daily living. "A.T. Boogie" is the result of collaboration between Jeff Moyer; animator Haik Hoisington; and Jim Tobias, president of Inclusive Technologies, a New Jersey-based assistive technology consulting firm.

Keynote Presenter
 
Jeff Moyer has provided keynote addresses, training seminars, and motivational workshops in 44 states and numerous national and international conferences. Jeff combines powerful style and content, original music and humor, and deep subject knowledge in a variety of areas pertinent to education, diversity and disability, the dignity of all human beings and other topics ranging from building inclusive schools and communities to the ADA, 504, and IDEA. He currently serves as adjunct faculty for Kent State University and has taught and guest lectured in numerous universities and colleges since 1975.
 
 
Assembly Presenter/Artist in Residence
 
Jeff Moyer has worked with children and young people from preschools to university settings. His work has ranged from assemblies and concerts to week-long artist in residence for school districts throughout the United States.
