Jeff’s work in schools ranges from individual assembly performances to longer residencies in schools and districts which integrate Jeff’s music, interactive group processes, and classroom work in a comprehensive and dynamic constellation of services. Jeff’s residencies often conclude with a community concert with inclusive choirs of children and young people who participate with Jeff in an evening of music for family and community. These heartwarming and inspirational community experiences have been hailed by school boards, teachers, parents, children and youth as exciting celebrations of diversity and inclusion.

Jeff’s assemblies combine the teaching of value-rich original music, selected for appropriateness to the age of the audience along with brief principles concerning self-esteem, respect for others, and achieving one’s personal best. Jeff uses a fascinating collection of international instruments, all of which he plays, to demonstrate the concept of our commonality as people. His assemblies are energetic, entertaining, audience-involving, and reinforce the principles which promote the inclusion of all students and acceptance of those who are different.

"Rarely do I engage an artist that generates so much positive feedback. Your week long activities in the Euclid City Schools were met with enthusiasm by staff, administration, students and parents alike...The message of appreciating each other is given through music and brief commentary. Your blend of vocal music, instrumental music and words was done so well that your audiences stayed closely attuned to your message. I heard so many positive comments about your work with our students that I sincerely look forward to future possibilities of bringing your talents back to our school community."

"Green Schools enjoyed and benefited from the days you spent with us. Your message of ‘doing your best’ and ‘being all you can be’ through songs, musical instruments, and speaking was extremely powerful - it touched all of us. I wish you could hear all of the positive comments I continue to hear from teachers, students, and community members. One of the most obvious signs of your impact upon our community is that many continue to song your songs. The community concert with 120+ students singing with you on stage was a wonderful culmination to our ‘Celebration of Diversity Week’. It was such a powerful feeling of unity."

"Jeff became a household word for hundreds of school children and the community of Jamestown, ND. For several months, students in the Jamestown schools were given the opportunity to participate in Jeff’s We’re People First - A Celebration of Diversity curriculum. What a wonderful tool! Students from several public and private schools, students with and without disabilities came together with Jeff and performed for the community at a concert that showcased the curriculum, and the unlimited talents of Jeff Moyer as he captured the audience with his songs and messages. Since the concert, there has been many requests for music products of Jeff’s and people in the community continue to talk about what a great opportunity it was to see and hear Jeff. Parents have said they find themselves humming and singing Jeff’s songs. Students and faculty at Jamestown College also heard Jeff in a convocation address and have commented repeatedly about the impact his speech had on their lives."
