Jeff Moyer’s concerts are community events which appeal to families, people of all ages, and anyone who enjoys engaging, well-crafted original music. Jeff’s concerts always include songs perfect for community singing with easy, memorable melodies and positive messages. His narrative story songs draw in the listener as he tells tales, true and metaphoric that address universal matters which can be understood at many levels.

Jeff plays an amazing array of international folk instruments which are delightful in their own right and serve as illustrations to punctuate his themes of our common humanity and the beauty of our diversity. Jeff sings songs with the audience in Zulu, Spanish, and American Sign Language, teaching, engaging, and uniting audiences from children to grandparents.

Jeff’s concerts are collaborative events, often with adhoc choirs of children with and without disabilities, from area schools within which he is working. Jeff also performs with well-rehearsed, established choirs and orchestras of young people from schools and fine arts organizations.

Reminiscent of the great folk artists of the 60’s, Moyer brings the vitality and currency of the music of the 90’s to his work. His polished and exacting guitar work, accompanied at times by his artistry as a harmonica player are well-supported by his warm and strong baritone voice. His musical styles range from contemporary folk to rock-and-roll to rap and audiences find themselves wondering what this versatile and talented artist will offer next as his entertaining and uplifting concerts develop. But more than the gift of music, Jeff Moyer’s concerts give his audiences the gift of hope and the belief that we can find better ways to live and work together. His songs speak the much-needed truth that at depth we are all equals and that with love we can make our worlds more inclusive and richer for us all.

"It is two weeks since our concert with you and I am still basking in the glow of the good feelings you left behind. Everyone who was involved in the concert gives it a rave review. Many parents of Suzuki violinists and Children’s Choir members have gone out of their way to tell me how much they enjoyed the concert and the many wonderful benefits their children got from rehearsing and performing with you. I can’t thank you enough for giving us the chance to not only hear your music, but also to perform with you. Our students learned important lessons about accepting people who are different from your wonderful songs which will help them to accept each other in the diversity that exists in our program, and had the experience of working with a real professional thanks to the excellent example you set for them. We also learned that people who have disabilities also have lots of other abilities - this is an important lesson in s Suzuki program which includes kids with disabilities."
